I just disappeared!
Yeah, so I did. We just got annual passes to the zoo (Noel's favorite part? fish), though, and signed up for swimming lessons, and well, we just have other things to do. Things that don't involve me typing. Also, Noel has taken to zipping in his commando crawl directly to cords and piles of dog hair, so I have to be on guard for that constantly. He's quick! He's also started sort of standing. If he's on a lap, he will push with his legs to a standing position, but he still needs some stability support. Anyone know if this is OK before he's creeping (hands and knees)? I know we should discourage standing so we can work on the creeping thing first, but he really isn't interested in creeping at all. I've tried and tried, and he will pop himself right out of the position. Still no EI, either, after we got back on the list. Of course, I haven't called to yell at anyone yet, but it's nice not having to do the 'omg, therapist is coming' clean-up.
I'm looking into some private therapies in the meantime.
And I didn't mean for it to have a theme. Themes are pretty cheezeball, if you ask me. When the husband and I got married, people would ask me what the theme of the wedding was... and I'd say, 'uh, marriage?'. Eh.
So when the pond situation started looking like it had a theme, I tried to undo it, but it started growing on me. Exactly like a fungus. Or perhaps algae, in this situation. Anyway, the pond started looking sorta French Quarter-ish, and I went ahead and let it. The bricks are not finished, and I know they look like crap- we still need to do some digging and shuffling of the liner there, so the edges aren't done. The only plant we have in there right now is a floater called anachris, for some oxygen action, and it's not pretty. The thing that was going to be a waterfall is now going to be more of a fountain, and it's going to be made out of some old brass instruments- which isn't done yet. Oh, yeah, and the filter I made out of a storage box. Didn't think much about the fact that the lid was blue... oopsie. It's really blue. There's still a lotalot to be done, but here's a recent picture of the hole I dug in the ground.
